Welcome to Bistro Babo

At Bistro Babo you’ll feel at home straight away. Set by Fort 5 in Elysiapark, we offer a warm, relaxed atmosphere where everyone is welcome.

In the afternoon, enjoy delicious waffles and homemade pastries, perfect for time with friends or family. Or come for lunch or dinner and taste dishes prepared with care. Whether you’re here for a waffle or a traditional Belgian dish, at Bistro Babo we make every meal special.

We named our bistro after Babo, our children’s grandmother: a true family person with a heart of gold. She lives just around the corner in Elysia Park. Her name feels like coming home to us, and that is the feeling we want to share.

The kitchen is open all day, from 11.30 am to 8.30 pm.

Lunch

Until 5 pm

Toast cannibale, croque Babo, fresh shrimp croquettes from ’t Werftje or a fresh salad, inside or on the terrace by the park.

Waffles & pastries

From 2 to 6 pm

In the afternoon it’s all about fresh Brussels waffles, pancakes and homemade pastries, like our tompouce “Babo”.

Dinner

Kitchen until 8.30 pm

Belgian classics cooked with care: vol-au-vent, baby sole meunière, spring chicken, steak tartare and changing specials from the chef.

Parking

There is both outdoor and underground parking at building 267. You can also use the car park across the street (at Carrefour); please cross carefully at the traffic lights.

Parking in the underground car park of blocks 261 and 263 is not allowed. That car park closes daily at 8 pm. As we have no access to it, cars still inside can only be collected once it reopens.
